According to the chapter, Balgobin Bhagat was a man of about sixty years old. He was of medium height and had a fair complexion. His hair was completely white, and he wore very few clothes, usually just a loincloth (langot) and a Kabirpanthi white cap made of bark. In winter, he would wrap a black blanket around himself. He had a serene and pious face with a white sandalwood mark (chandanam) always applied on his forehead, and a long white beard that added to his saintly appearance.
