Upon hearing Parashuram's arrogant talk, Sage Vishwamitra silently laughed in his heart. He thought that Parashuram was under the delusion that Ram and Lakshman were like ordinary Kshatriya princes made of sugarcane juice (ukh). In reality, they were made of iron (khand), indestructible and invincible, but Parashuram failed to recognize their true divine power.
