Cardiac muscles are specialized involuntary, striated muscle tissues found exclusively in the walls of the heart. These muscles undergo rhythmic contraction and relaxation continuously throughout life without getting fatigued. Morphologically, cardiac muscle cells are cylindrical, branched, and uninucleate. They play a vital role in pumping oxygenated and deoxygenated blood continuously throughout the circulatory system of the organism.
