Green manure is an organic matter source produced by growing fast-growing green leguminous plants, such as sunn hemp, guar, or clover, and plowing them back into the field soil prior to sowing main crop seeds. As these mulched plants decompose naturally, they enrich the soil with organic matter and key nutrients like Nitrogen and Phosphorus. Green manure enhances soil structure, aeration, microbial activity, and moisture retention capability effectively without causing chemical pollution.
