When Raman passed by the dry well in the forest, he heard cries for help. Looking inside, he saw a tiger, a monkey, a snake, and a human trapped together. First, the tiger requested help, promising not to harm him, so Raman pulled it out. Next, the monkey and the snake were rescued in the same way. All three animals sincerely thanked Raman and warned him strictly not to rescue the human trapped in the well, stating that humans are ungrateful and treacherous. However, Raman felt pity for the helpless man, who begged desperately for mercy. Raman ignored the animals' wise warnings and pulled the jeweller out of the well as well.
