Raman hesitated to pull out the man from the well because all three animals—the tiger, the monkey, and the snake—had specifically warned him against saving the human. The animals told Raman that human beings were the most ungrateful and treacherous creatures on Earth, and if he pulled the man out, the man would surely harm him later. Hearing these strong warnings from the animals, Raman felt doubtful and scared. However, because Raman was inherently a kind-hearted, innocent, and helpful person, he could not leave a fellow human being to suffer and die in the deep well. Driven by his compassion and sympathy, he eventually decided to ignore the warnings and pulled the man out.
