Brewster's Law states that when unpolarized light is incident at a specific polarizing angle (also known as Brewster's angle, denoted by i_p) on a transparent refracting surface, the refracted light is partially polarized while the reflected light is completely plane-polarized. Furthermore, the law states that the tangent of the polarizing angle is numerically equal to the refractive index of the medium, expressed mathematically as n = tan(i_p).
