According to author Bhadant Anand Kausalyayan, 'culture' and 'civilization' are deeply intertwined yet distinct concepts in human life. When a human being discovers some new reality or invents a useful tool to solve daily life problems, that original invention or discovery represents their culture. For example, the discovery of fire or the invention of the wheel was a cultural achievement born out of human curiosity and necessity. However, when that same discovery or invention is passed down through generations, adopted by society, and becomes a part of our daily lifestyle, convenience, and material progress, it transforms into civilization. Therefore, culture is the root cause, the internal creation, and the fountainhead of new values, whereas civilization is its outward manifestation, material progress, and the physical lifestyle that we inherit and utilize for our physical comfort and societal advancement in the modern world.
