After the death of his son, Balgobin Bhagat made the compassionate decision to send his daughter-in-law away to her parents' home with her brother. He did this because she was young, and he wanted her to remarry so that she could lead a normal, happy life and find a supportive partner for her future. However, the daughter-in-law was reluctant to leave him alone in his old age. Weeping bitterly, she said that if she left, who would cook for him, look after his health, and give him water when he fell ill? She wanted to serve him until her last breath. But Bhagat was firm in his decision. He told her clearly that either she left for her parental home to remarry, or he would leave the house forever. Ultimately, out of deep respect for his wishes, she had to obey him.
