The young seagull's first flight was triggered by intense hunger. When his mother flew near him with a piece of fish but stopped just out of reach, madness from hunger drove him to dive at the food. As he fell outwards and downwards into space, a monstrous terror seized him, and his heart stood still. However, this fear lasted only a minute. Soon, he felt his wings spread outwards, and the wind rushed against his breast feathers. He realized he was not falling headlong but was floating and soaring gradually. He completely forgot his fear, flapped his wings, and joyfully joined his family in the air, successfully completing his first flight.
